Number One Tub and Tile Inc. Care Instructions for

Newly Resurfaced Tub, Tile or Fixtures

Please read all care instructions for best results

  • The new resurfaced tub, tiles or fixture must be allowed to cure for a full 24 hours before contact is made with water. The ambient temperature in the room must remain above 70 degrees for the initial curing time. Lower temperature will delay or even retard the curing process.
  • If the drain piece and overflow cover are removed they must be replaced prior to using the tub, we do not replace them for you. Number One Tub and Tile Inc. will not be held responsible for any plumbing or water damage that may occur as a result of the removal or replacement of the drain or the overflow fitting.
  • NEVER use suction type bathmats. If a bathmat must be used, other non-suction mats work well and are available, but remove them after every use to allow trapped water to evaporate.
  • Do not leave plastic bottles in the corner of the tub, they can leave marks and corrode the resurfaced area
  • Do not leave water in you tub for extended periods of time (more than a few hours).
  • Regular showering water droplets are not a concern.
  • For the first week moderate use and DO NOT clean the tub nor use any chemicals, bath oils, or salts, try to avoid scalding hot or icy cold water.
  • Cleaning:

□  Use only Liquid cleaners to clean your newly resurfaced fixture. Do not use any cream or powder cleaners for they are abrasive and can cause damage to the surface. You may use a wet nylon scrub pad with dish soap to clean heavy soap build up, make sure it does not damage the surface by trying it in an inconspicuous area first.

□  Gel gloss can be used once every second week

□  Gel gloss is available in aerosol or paste and is found at stores like Home Depot or Rona

  • As a final note, it should be understood that some homes are more dust laden than others. In homes where the ambient particulate is high you may get some “nibs”. “Nibs” are small bits of dust, hairs, and sometimes small insects that get embedded in the sprayed material. We take every precaution to avoid this from happening, but sometimes they appear. If you wish to have “nibs” removed please call for a quote, a deductible may apply.
